OSTEOPATHY IN PREGNANCY
During pregnancy, osteopathy can work well alongside conventional medical care. It can help to alleviate common problems like back, leg, and neck pain, caused by the increasing strain the growing baby's weight puts on the body. Other conditions such as heartburn and indigestion which result when the stomach and intestines are compressed against the developing uterus can usually be relieved using osteopathic techniques specially adapted for use during pregnancy. Cranial osteopathy can be beneficial during pregnancy: expectant mothers often find it therapeutic due to the gentle and relaxing nature of the technique.
