Nicky Wilson, BSc (Hons) Integrative Counselling
I offer counselling for individuals with a warm, caring approach to problem solving and healing. As an experienced, counsellor, my approach is accepting and non-judgmental, allowing clients time and space to be heard, and explore more about themselves, and the issues they are facing – at their own pace; most often bringing about lasting and positive results. I realise that counselling can seem really daunting, especially for those who have not undertaken it before and so I offer a free preliminary session to allow time for both of us to discover if we feel happy about working with each other.
I am an integrative counsellor, (BSc (Hons) Integrative Counselling) which means I can work in a way to suit each client’s individual needs. Whether you want some help coming to terms with major issues in your life or a listening ear to help you find a way forward, I can help you overcome present difficulties and find next steps. You may only require a few sessions or wish to engage in long term work. We would agree a way forward at our first session together, and monitor the work as we go. You are in control at all times.
I can help with a variety of issues such as, depression, anxiety, stress related issues, post-traumatic stress, self-esteem, anger management, worries about children or other family members, experiencing relationship difficulties, suffering illness or bereavement, experiencing employment difficulties , facing retirement, suffering or suffered abuse or struggling with eating disorders

Ann Rapp, MBACP, Counsellor & Psychotherapist: Bereavement, Loss and Trauma
Life can be hard to handle - tough and confusing at any age or stage.
As an experienced humanistic and person-centred counsellor, with a special interest in Bereavement, Loss and associated Trauma, I believe passionately that the right counselling relationship can help us work through our own unique challenges and difficulties, whatever those are and whatever our circumstances.
Relationships and events, success and failure, change, gain and loss - especially when we don’t choose what happens to us - can turn our lives upside down at any given moment, moving us through life stages but disrupting our “normal,” destabilising us and impacting our physical and mental health and general wellbeing. How do we find a way through trauma and grief which can feel like madness, to personal growth and development?
How we live doesn’t always make time or allow space for processing transitions and rites of passage, let alone for relating our past or present ‘stories’ and narratives to our future; but a single or a series of counselling sessions in a safe, accepting and non-judgemental space in which you build complete trust with an independent therapist, can provide both.
By attuning closely to how you recount and feel about your experiencing, I will help you really listen to and hear yourself; we will work together to examine, recognise, interpret and help you come to terms with highly personal emotions and habits, default responses and reactions, behaviour drivers and patterns, even your values, beliefs and conditioning.
No feeling is too small to make a difference in this process of becoming more self-aware and more in control as you discover how to reframe and reshape your lived experience to get insight and new perspectives - initially, to become more compassionate and accepting towards yourself. You may come to realise how the coping strategies you use because they feel the best and safest, could actually be holding you back, choosing to let them go and replacing them with something that works much better for you going forward.
Whatever is challenging you right now in your life, do please explore how counselling might help. Email me at theholtpractice@gmail.com with any queries or to arrange an initial free 30-minute phone session. Website at: www.theholtpractice.co.uk
I look forward to talking to you.

Welcome to my profile. I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist fully qualified and working with adults and young people age 12 and over.
You might be considering coming to therapy because your usual way of dealing with difficulties is not helping any longer. Whatever you are experiencing coming to therapy is a brave step to feeling better or getting to know yourself better. I offer a welcoming space where together we can rediscover old forgotten resources and learn new ways of dealing with what life brings and move beyond unhelpful patterns.
I have experience in working with individuals going through existential and life transitions, experiencing anxiety, stress, dysregulation, low mood and depression, overwhelm, shame and guilt, low self-confidence, identity and body image issues, historical or recent trauma, relational difficulties, bereavement and loss, addictions, chronic illness and pain, physical symptoms with emotional etiology etc
My fee is £55 for the first session. If we decide to work together my fee will be £55 for a 50 min session. I offer a sliding scale for young people, people in the helping professions, and people on low income.
My approach to psychotherapy and counselling
My approach to therapy is humanistic and integrative. I use a variety of additional approaches and styles depending on the individual needs of the people I work with. This includes psycho education, mindfulness, somatic approaches, EMDR and Trauma informed treatment.
EMDR is an evidence based psychotherapy that has been recognise by the World Health Association as a first choice treatment for PTSD which can be result of overwhelming experiences, such as a sudden death of a close one, medical complications, environmental disasters, abuse, neglect, divorce, repeated exposure to stress…
I can offer EMDR as part of your regular therapy with me. I can also work alongside your psychotherapist or counsellor to tackle traumatic experiences with EMDR.
Counselling and Psychotherapy with young people
My main area of focus with the younger population is overwhelm and dysregulation, mood swings, identity questions, body image issues including disordered eating, self-harming, peer pressure, anxiety, low mood, trauma, self-consciousness and shyness, low self-esteem, phobias, exam stress and other stress related difficulties.
I try to create a welcoming and friendly space in which me and the young person can build rapport and work together. My aim is for the young person to feel supported and empowered. I teach self- regulation and I adjust my approach to the inclinations of the young person. We can use talking or creative approaches as needed.
I accept self-referrals of young people age 16 and over.
When the young person is age 12-15 I will start by taking a referral from the parent. I will then meet or talk to the parent over the phone or at the beginning of the first session

Laura Wilson Laura Wilson Psychotherapist (Gestalt Therapy)
I help people reconnect with themselves, so they can feel their best in their bodies, in their relationships, and their lives. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that have shaped your life, helping you make meaningful change. I believe our symptoms often hold important messages. With the right support, they can guide powerful growth. I bring deep expertise and lived experience to help you reconnect with your inner compass so that you can embrace a life full of authentic connection and possibility, showing up fully for yourself and those you love.
I work with with couples and individuals seeking more – more clarity, more connection, more meaning.
Gestalt therapy provides a space to explore the stories and patterns in your life and where you might have become stuck. Ways we adapted to cope in the past often function in the background of our awareness, influencing our perceptions, relationships and behaviour. We will work together to see what holds you back from leading a more satisfying life. I'll support you to become more sensitised to all of your experience so you can get a fuller appreciation of what’s happening for you and take steps towards change. You will find more flexibility to shake off patterns that hold you back, opening up a world of new possibilities.
People describe me as curious, open and warm, with a sharp mind able to see things from multiple perspectives. I integrate a range of perspectives from psychotherapy to neuroscience to astrology and holistic models of health which strive for balance in all areas of life so that you can come back to your natural state of self-regulation. I have a great capacity for acknowledging difficulties whilst holding the possibility of a more positive place. Meaningful change is hard work. I believe having someone in your corner makes it more possible.
I offer a free exploratory chat to see if psychotherapy with me would be suitable for you. We'll l talk through what you're looking for, I'll share my approach and you'll have the opportunity to better understand if you'd like to work with me. This type of support is for people in crisis as well as those who are feeling dissatisfied, stuck or in need of more support.
I am a registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy and have a Master's in Gestalt Psychotherapy (a five-year training programme), as well as a Post-Graduate Certificate in People and Organisation Development.

Jamie Carroll, Counsellor, (Psychosynthesis therapy)
Jamie Carroll, Counsellor and MA in Psychosynthesis Psychology
I offer Psychosynthesis therapy. Psychosynthesis is a form of Psychotherapy based on the idea that we have a wiser Higher Self inside ourselves which we can learn to tune into and allow to guide us. I believe our purpose in life is to learn to listen to this Higher Self and find our will to act in ways that feel authentic, loving, creative and compassionate. Psychosynthesis teaches you how to listen more to your Higher Self, and gradually shed the inauthentic personality that keeps you in the same old painful patterns. No matter what you are going through, there is always the opportunity to discover your potential.
Does this resonate with you?
For those who are open to it, I can also bring in hypnotherapy and/or explore with you how planetary cycles (like the Saturn Return or the Uranus Half Return) may be affecting you.
Therapy should be a soulful process - it is important that you feel like you can connect with me. So I offer a free 30 minute telephone / zoom consultation where you can ask me questions, listen to your intuition and work out whether I am for you.
My fee is £60 an hour.
If you want an experience that is truthful and on the level, this will be it.

Individual and Couples Counsellor
Flexible availability including Saturday mornings
At times life can seem overwhelming and you might not be able to understand the reasons why or to see a clear way forward. I believe through counselling I can offer you a calm safe environment where you will have the opportunity to be heard. This allows you to process your feelings and gain insight into your thoughts and behaviours.
Training, qualifications & experience
My approach to counselling is integrative, this means I believe that there is not just one therapeutic approach that can help you in your situation. I take account of you as an individual and use elements of different approaches to aid you in exploring your difficulty, thus counselling is tailored to your specific needs.

Whether you are facing communication difficulties, navigating conflict, or experiencing struggles with intimacy, couples counselling offers a unique opportunity to better understand each other and build healthier ways of relating. Together we can work on enhancing communication, exploring differences and conflict styles, deepening intimacy and identifying each partner’s individual needs.
Integrative therapy can assist in a range of short- and long-term issues.

Ed Hardy
Imagine a safe, private space where you can express yourself freely, without fear of judgment or advice. A place where you’re in control and can take as much time as you need to explore your thoughts and feelings. What would you do with that?
That’s the environment I offer. As a person-centred counsellor, my role is to be with you as you explore your experiences, build your self-awareness, and work towards the changes you want to make in your life. I am not a life coach or a source of ready-made advice. I believe the true expert in your life is you.
I work with adult clients in private practice at the Haslemere Clinic and in Guildford, Farnham, and Godalming. My experience spans a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, bereavement, and more. I welcome all clients, regardless of disability, sexuality, gender, race, or religion.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the UK’s professional association for counsellors, and I work within the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
If you think we might be a good fit, the next step would be to arrange a free, no-obligation consultation. This can be in person, online, or over the phone, whichever is most convenient for you. From there, if you feel comfortable and our relationship seems to be a good match, we can begin the work together.
Thank you for reading my profile.
